The Choices We Make
Bishoujoland fic by Hvulpes and gbrn32e
Six mysterious girls have arrived claiming to be... JAKE’S DAUGHTERS!!!?!??!???!
Before we start, I’d just like to say, every good story starts with a...

BANG!  A device of Mato’s, shaped like a cannon, fired a fast moving energy ball projectile towards Jake and the ten girls.
“HIT THE DIRT!” Jake yelled.  He hugged the ground.
As the projectile reached their position, a bright white flash covered the entire lab.  When it faded away and Jake had opened his eyes, he first looked at his hands to make sure he hadn’t mutated or anything.  They looked normal.  So far, so good.  He got to his feet, as did Katia, Dawn, Fawn, Mina, Sarah, and Yuta, who were in front of him.  The girls looked in Jake’s direction and all got wide-eyed.
“Oh god, something happened to me, didn’t it!?  What am I?  A mutant?  A ghost?  A girl?”  Considering it was one of Mato’s inventions, anything was possible.
The six girls just pointed behind Jake.  He turned and saw what he wasn’t expecting.
Jessica, Diana, Lucia, and Jen were standing in front of him.  Each of their bodies seemed to be exuding some kind of white energy up to a few inches from themselves.  They were all just standing there.
“Are you alright?” Jake asked them.  They didn’t respond.  “I said, are you alright?” Still no answer.  Carefully, he walked up and started waving one hand in front of Jessica’s eyes.  There was no reaction.
Jake and the remaining girls all glared at Mato.
Mato was hopping from foot to foot with joy, like an excited child.  “It works!  It works!  My experimental stasis field gun is a rousing success!”
*Somehow, Jake and the girls disappear with Dragonball Z speed and each pound Mato on the head.  Mato now has seven bumps.*
“OUCH!  You should know better than to cause cranial trauma to a genius!  What was that for?”
“WHAT DO YOU THINK!?” they all yelled.  Mato cringed in fear.  “HOW MANY TIMES HAVE WE TOLD YOU, DON’T USE US AS YOUR GUINEA PIGS!!!”
“Uhhhhh, none?”
*Everyone sighs.*  “Anyhow, we’ll deal with you later,” Jake said.  “Now what did you do to those four?”
Mato was rubbing his bumps.  “First of all, don’t worry.  There’s nothing wrong with them.  They’re not hurt or anything.”
“Then what are they?” Sarah asked.
“They are caught within fields that completely prevent the motion of all physical substance.”
“Meaning?” Dawn pushed.
“They’re frozen in a form of stasis.”
“Oh,” everyone said simply.  *They all hit Mato again.*  “Why do you keep doing things like this?”
“Because I can.  Anyway, the device fired an energy pulse, which, when it comes into contact with a substantial amount of physical matter, encases such matter in a new form of energy I’ve been researching.  This energy prevents the motion of all physical substance, leaving all things within it completely still.  There is no aging, no thought, no blood flow, no motion, nothing.  Right now, they are exactly as they were the moment they were hit by the pulse.”
“Okay, okay, you’re brilliant,” Mina conceded.  “Now, can you please let them out?”
Mato became very nervous.  “Um, there may be a problem with that.”
“What do you mean?” Katia asked, suspicious.
“Well, I focused all my research on being able to harness this energy, and...”
“And?” Fawn pressed on.
“Simply put, I never looked into a way to return affected substance to normal.”
“Grandpa, are you saying...?” Yuta hesitatingly asked.
He nodded.  “I don’t know how to let them out of stasis.”
*Everyone picks up big, heavy mallets and slowly starts advancing on Mato, anger on their faces.*
Mato held up his hands pleadingly for them to stop.  “But I’ll figure it out!  It’ll be my top priority.  Just no more with the hitting!  I’ve been whacked with enough mallets this week to last me a whole year!”
***********
Jake and the girls were now gathered in the kitchen, deciding what to do for dinner since Jen was... indisposed.
“I’m going to try out my feast conjuring spell,” Mina announced, raising her arms.
“Um, Mina, that might not be a good-“ Sarah started.
“Feastus, creatus!” Mina shouted.  One flash of light later, and a giant cake appeared on the table.  But not just any cake.  This one was human size and human shaped.  And illustrated on top of it was a nude Mato.
“AAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!” all gathered screamed, averting their eyes.
“MAKE IT GO AWAY!!!  MAKE IT GO AWAY!!!” Jake screamed.
Without looking, Dawn placed her hand on the cake’s foot section and applied her succubus powers to incinerate it.  Unfortunately, she incinerated the whole table as well.
“I’m sorry,” Mina sobbed.  “I’m so sorry.”
“I have an idea,” Dawn offered.  “How about I make some of my family’s secret recipe of Hellfire Stew?”
“What makes it so secret?” Jake asked.
Dawn smiled and pulled a small vile of a blood red liquid out of a pocket.  “This.  My very own hot sauce.”
“What’s it taste like?” Yuta asked.
Dawn pulled out seven small glasses and poured a very little bit of her hot sauce into each one.  She handed a glass to everyone.  Even Sarah accepted, genuinely curious.  As one, they all sipped.
*Everyone except Dawn’s eyes shoot open, red lines all over their eyeballs.  Flames start shooting out of their mouths as they clutch at their throats.*
As everyone else is screaming, “Hot!  Hot!  Hot!” and scrambling over one another to get some water, Dawn just sighs.  “Ah, just like grandma used to make.  So, want me to make some?”
“NO!!!” the others shouted in between pouring water down their throats.
“Aw, schucks,” Dawn pouted.
When everyone had recovered, Katia stepped forward.  “Never fear.  I shall call in the royal chef from his first vacation in twenty years to prepare dinner for us.”
Sarah just stared at her.  “Katia, that has got to be one of the most selfish, stuck up, self-serving things I have ever heard.”
“How dare you!  I am a princess.  Everyone waits on me hand and foot.”
“I think I’ll just fix up a potato salad,” Sarah offered.
“No, I’ll make ribs,” Fawn countered.
“I want ice cream,” Yuta demanded.
As the six girls began yelling at each other, Jake nonchalantly stepped out of the kitchen and returned a minute later to the still arguing girls.  “I just ordered pizza,” he announced.  *The girls all fall over.*
A short time later, the group was eating pizza in the living room, watching a romance movie on TV, much to Jake’s dismay.
When the movie arrived at the point where the romantic couple started their family, Katia sighed.  “Oh, Jake, when we are married...”
Jake started banging his head against the table.
“...what do you think our children will look like?”
Jake stopped banging his head and looked around.  Everyone was staring at him, awaiting a response.  Not wanting to touch this issue with a ten foot pole, Jake quickly grabbed another piece of anchovy pizza and shoved it into his mouth, praying that something would save him.
His prayers were answered.  “Whatever they’d look like,” Yuta said, “his and mine would look a lot better.”
“How dare you!” Katia angrily exclaimed.  “You probably can’t even have children!”
“Yes I can,” Yuta huffily retorted.  “I asked grandpa.  He says he designed me so I could have babies someday if I wanted to.”
“You know what?” Sarah brought up.  “If Jake and I got together...”
Jake resumed banging his head, not believing this.
“...and had kids, I think they’d be incredibly good looking and athletic.”
“You?  A mother?” Dawn scoffed.  “You’re more machine than woman.  They’d need to get all their love from Jake.”
“I could be a fantastic mother!  You, on the other hand, would probably eat your children!”
“I would not!”  Dawn looked like she got an idea.  She scooted up next to Jake.  “You know, Jake,” she said seductively, “if you and I did get together, we could probably create a whole new breed of super succubi.  Shall we find out?”
“I’d rather not.”  Jake was becoming very uncomfortable.
As Dawn was leaning in closer to Jake, Fawn suddenly stood up and grabbed Dawn by the hair and started pulling her away painfully.  “Leave him alone,” she told Dawn.
Sarah smiled teasingly.  “Oh, getting a little protective, are we?”
Fawn blushed.  “No, it’s, he’s just a friend.”
“A friend you’d like to have babies with?” Yuta asked, frowning.
Fawn blushed even deeper.  “Well, there are worse people in the world to have children with.”
“Gee, thanks a lot,” Jake said sarcastically.
“But, if we did have kids, I’d sing them to sleep every night with my favorite lullaby, and love them with all my heart.”
“That’s so sweet,” Mina said, crying a little.
“What about you, Mina?” Fawn asked.  “What would it be like if you and Jake had kids?”
“Can we please drop this?” Jake requested.  No one was listening to him.
“Oh, I don’t know,” Mina said.  “When I do become a mother, I just want my children to be happy and healthy, and live in a loving family, with a father who loves them, and me.  Maybe I’d teach them to use magic.  Assuming I can learn to use it properly myself.”
“Everyone,” Jake interrupted, “this is a very interesting conversation.  And I’m very flattered.  Really.  But, the truth of the matter is, I don’t think the choices I make in my life will send me in the direction to raise children with any of you.”
Before the girls could start tearing into Jake for his statement, Mato announced, “Eureka!” over the house speaker system.  “I think I’ve come up with a solution.  Could you all join me in the lab?”
*********
Everyone was gathered in the lab.  Jessica, Jen, Diana, and Lucia had been moved to another portion of the lab with one of Mato’s device.  They looked exactly the same as when Jake and the others had last seen them.
“You’ve already figured out how to help them?” Jake asked Mato.
The professor looked incredibly proud.  “Of course!  I am a genius!”
“So, what is your solution?” Sarah asked cautiously.
“This!”  Mato pulls the cover off of an eight foot tall device.  It looked incredibly bulky, and like it had been haphazardly cannibalized from several other machines.
“This is going to free the others from the stasis energy?” Yuta asked.
Mato looked offended.  “What?  Oh, no.”
“Then...?” Fawn started to ask.
“You see,” Mato interrupted her, “I realized that I have far too much to do to spend my time trying to find a way to get them back to normal.  Then I realized that, eventually, somewhere down the road, I would eventually develop a method to help them.  So, on the spot, I pieced together several machines to create Mato’s Time Portal Generator!”
Everyone else got a look on their face that showed they thought this sounded very bad.  “Don’t you think it’s a bad idea to be messing with the fabric of space-time?” Sarah pointed out.
“Nothing is a bad idea if it means expanding the boundaries of science.”
“Mato, if you activate this machine, I swear I will make you regret it,” Jake threatened.
That caused Mato to pause and think for a moment.  “I will endure it, if it is in the name of science!”  That said, Mato, with flourish, pulled a lever on the machine.
As the gang watched in horror, the machine started rumbling and spewing steam and humming.  It seemed like it was about to explode.  Mato watched with eagerness.
After several moments, the machine started to radiate some kind of blue energy.  Then, without warning, a beam of blue energy shot out from the machine and struck Jake.  Jake was left immobilized and stunned from the still pouring energy of the machine.
“Jake!” the girls yelled.  They all ran to him.
“Drat,” Mato muttered.  “I really must stop making the end that fires these things look like every other side of the machine.”
As one, the girls all reached Jake and grabbed him.  They all became enveloped in the energy as well.  After several seconds, more beams of energy shot from the group, one from the back of each girl.  Each beam ceased several feet away from the group and a swirling mass of light was created by each one.
Mato fiddled with the machine and the beam of energy ceased.  Jake and the other girls were freed, but the masses of light created by the machine remained.  After shaking away the shock of the event, Jake and the others eyed the lights in fear.
Then, each mass began crackling with electricity and lightning.  A huge white flash filled the lab.  When everyone's eyes had recovered, the lights were gone.
And in their places, lying on the ground, were six sixteen year old looking girls.
Slowly, the girls all got to their feet.
The girl on the far left had long purple hair that reached down her backside.  Her eyes were red.  She also had purple wings and a purple succubus tail.
Next to her was a girl whose ears showed her to be elven, or at least part elven.  She had green, gold flecked eyes and long cyan hair.
The next one up was extremely attractive.  She had long green hair which had a white ribbon in it, as well as blue eyes.
Next to her was a girl wearing some unusual scientific gear, like mechanical goggles and an arm computer.  She also wore a back pack.  She had short pink hair and blue eyes.
The fifth girl had long red hair and gold eyes.  Her hair displayed blue highlights.  She wore a magic girl’s necklace.
The last one up had silver eyes.  Her hair was long and golden and metallic.
Jake, Mato, and the girls just stared in shock at the new arrivals.  The teenagers were clearly disoriented.
“Are you alright?” Jake asked.
Hearing his voice, the girls focused on clearing their heads.  Then, as one, they all looked at Jake.  They obviously recognized him, as they were all surprised at his presence.  Then they looked at the girls, one each at Dawn, Katia, Yuta, Sarah, Mina and Fawn.
“Mom?” they all asked as one.  “Dad?”
To be continued, next week.

Just kidding.
Jake, Katia, Mina, Yuta, Fawn, Dawn, and Sarah just stood stone still for a full minute, going over what each of the girls had addressed them as.  Then they started exchanging frantic glances with one another.
“I beg your pardon?” Jake squeaked, his voice barely above a whisper.
The girl with the techno gear stepped forward and addressed Sarah and Jake.  “Mom, dad, what’s wrong with you?  It’s me, Terra.”
The purple haired succubus sneered at Terra.  “What are you talking about?  He’s not your dad.  He’s mine.  And she’s my mother.”  She pointed at Dawn.  “Don’t you recognize your own daughter?  It’s me, Belladonna.”
“Jake,” Katia said quietly and threateningly, “what have you been up to?”
“Nothing!  Nothing!  I swear!”
“Since when has mother dearest intimidated you, father?” the elven girl asked.  “You’re always telling me, ‘Arilyn, your mother and I don’t intimidate one another.  We love each other dearly.’”
“You and Katia?!” Yuta screamed at Jake.  “How could you not tell me!?”
“Don’t blow a gasket, ma,” the attractive green haired girl said.  “You and dad trust each other implicitly.  I mean, you trusted him enough to name me Seven.”
“This is so confusing!” Mina complained.  “I think I’ll risk teleporting myself out of here!”
“I wouldn’t do that,” the red haired one warned.  “You still haven’t worked out the kinks in that one.  The last time you tried, you teleported yourself into the men’s locker room.  The kids at school teased me mercilessly for weeks.  ‘Sabrina, your mother is a pervert.’”
“Where am I?” the last girl, the golden haired one, asked.  “I was just sorting through the mail, looking for the ones addressed to me, Circe Mato, and now I’m here.”  She looked at Fawn.  “You still get way too much fan mail, mom.”
“WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON??!!!?!?!?!?!?!” Jake screamed at the top of his voice.
Everyone started bantering with everyone else, and the lab soon became a shouting match,
“Everyone, quiet!” Mato screamed into a megaphone.  The unexpected display of authority from the old man caused everyone to settle down.  “Now, if you’ll all just stay completely quiet for a few minutes, I’ll try and figure out what’s going on, okay?”  Intimidated, they all nodded.  “Good.”  He began to work furiously at a keyboard.
The next five minutes were spent in awkward silence.  The teenagers wanted to ask questions.  The girls wanted answers.  And Jake wanted to be anywhere else but here.
“I’ve got it!” Mato exclaimed.
“Phew.”  Jake wiped his brow.  “So, you can explain to these young ladies that I’m not their father?”
“Oh, no.  They are all your daughters.”
*Jake starts falling into a black abyss.*
“What?”  He was crying.
“Class is now in session!” Mato cried.  Somehow, Jake and all the females found themselves in school uniforms and seated in desks like in class.  All of the teenagers were seated next to the woman they had identified as their mother.  Mato took his place at the head of the class.
“Very good.”  Mato pulled out a remote, and used it to activate a TV screen.  What he talks about is displayed on the screen.  “Now, this whole thing started when, earlier today, I froze Lucia, Jen, Jessica, and Diana in a stasis field.  Jake, Mina, Katia, Fawn, Dawn, Sarah, and Yuta threatened me with some rather unpleasant consequences if I didn’t help them.”
“We already know that!” Jake yelled.
“We don’t, dad!” Terra yelled back.
*Jake falls over.*
“Continuing,” Mato said.  “Now, obviously, I was under enormous pressure to come up with results.  I realized that I must have somewhere in the future developed a method for helping the girls, so I decided to build a time portal generator to retrieve it.  Why?  Because I’m a genius!”
“You mean because you’re lazy, great granddad,” Circe insinuated.
“Show some respect for your elders!” Seven snapped back.
“Thank you, dear.  Now, I created the time portal generator by cannibalizing several different machines together.  Among them was my Time Grabber, my Quantum Realm Transporter, my flesh eating toaster-“
“Where!?” Jake yelled in terror, looking around.
“-and several other inventions.  Now, when I activated the machine, the portal beam hit Jake instead of continuing uninterrupted to open a portal.  Soon after that, each of the girls grabbed Jake at the same time, trying to help him.  The machine scanned the DNA patterns of Jake and the girls.  That confused the programming I had given it.  The machine utilized my Time Grabber and my Quantum Realm Transporter to pull the six of you, Jake’s children with each respective girl, from the future in different quantum realms.”
“You mean they’re from another dimension?” Jake asked hopefully.
“No, they’re from this one,” Mato answered.  *Jake falls over again.*  “They’re just from the future of different quantum realms.”
“From the future!?” Katia exclaimed, staring Jake down.  “You mean you got all of us pregnant?!  Have you no self control!?"
“Help me,” Jake weakly pleaded of Mato.
“Katia, what I’m saying does not necessarily mean that he will get you and the others pregnant.”  Jake sighed.  “It doesn’t necessarily mean he won’t, either.”
“You’re not helping!”
“Like I said, they are from the futures of different quantum realms.”
“And what the hell is a quantum realm?” Belladonna asked.
“You should learn to speak more politely and lady like,” Arilyn belittled her.
“Oh, shut up,” Sabrina said.
“For any event,” Jake answered Belladonna’s question, “there is an infinite number of possible outcomes. The choices we make determine which outcome will follow.  But there is a theory in quantum physics that all possibilities that could happen do happen in alternate quantum realities.”
Mato and everyone else stared at Jake, clearly shocked at his knowledge.  “Jake, my boy, how did you know that?” the flabbergasted Mato asked.
“Way too much Star Trek,” Jake muttered.
“Star what?”
“Nothing.”
“Anyway,” Mato continued, “Jake is right.  It is theorized that every possible choice that could have been made must be made in these alternate realities.  Hence, there are an infinite number of these realities.  In one reality, I could have decided to put on my pink socks instead of these polka dot ones.  In another reality, Jake could have decided to go evil and turned the household girls into his permanent hypnotized sex slaves.  In another reality, Dawn and Sarah could have decided to fall madly in love with one another.  In another reality-“
“We get the idea,” an angry Sarah interrupted.
Terra spoke up.  “So, what you’re saying, professor, is that when the machine analyzed the DNA of father and mother and the rest, the combination of the Time Grabber and the Quantum Reality Transporter pulled their offspring from certain points in the future from different quantum realms into this one?”
“Exactly!  It’s nice to see that Jake could sire at least one genius in the family.”
“Hey!” the other five girls complained.
“They’re Jake’s kids, alright,” Fawn said, in response to the ‘Hey!’.
“And each of yours as well,” Mato told the women.  “In the quantum realms these girls come from, Jake and each of you made choices that evidently led to him getting together with at least one of you per quantum realm.  And these lovely young ladies are the results of the choices you made.”
This was all starting to sink in for everyone.
“So, you mean...?” Katia started to say, pointing at Arilyn.
Mato nodded.  “She is the daughter you could have with Jake depending on the choices that are made.”
Arilyn smiled at Katia.  “Mother, you need not worry.  I am the perfect little girl you always wanted.”
This had a bigger impact on Jake than anyone else.  While each of the girls now had one child, he now had six daughters.
Dawn turned to the younger succubus.  “So, Jake and I are your parents?”  She nodded.  “Wow.  What was your name again?”
*Anger steam shoots out of the girl’s ears.*  “Belladonna!  But everyone calls me Bell.”
Sarah pointed at the pink haired girl with the techno gear.  “So, you’re my daughter?”  She nodded.  “This is so weird.  You said your name was Terra, right?”
“Yes, mother.”  Terra looked Sarah over.  “So that’s what you looked like in your youth.”
“What do you mean?” Sarah asked.
Before Terra could respond, Fawn turned to the girl seated next to her.  “You said your name was Circe Mato?” she asked the golden haired teenager.
“Yes.  Dad named me after some kind of enchantress from a legend.”
“Going from a popstar to the mother of a teenager,” Fawn muttered.  “The tabloids are going to eat me alive.”
“And you’re my little girl?” Yuta eagerly asked the attractive green haired one.
“Indeed I am.”  She seemed just as cheerful as her mother.  “My name’s Seven.”
“Why Seven?” Yuta asked.
“I don’t know,” Seven responded.  “Ask him.”  She pointed at Jake.  “You let him name me.”
Do not tell them about Seven of Nine, Jake thought.  Do not tell them about Seven of Nine.
“And before you ask,” the red haired one said to Mina, “yes, you are my mother.  My name is Sabrina.  And I can use magic as well.”
“Why am I choosing these names?” Jake muttered.  “Wait, I didn’t choose them.  I mean, I haven’t yet, but I will.  But, I wouldn’t.  But, it wasn’t exactly me who named them.  But, it also was me...  AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!” Jake screamed in frustration.
Dawn was finding Jake’s situation quite humorous.  “No sons, Jake?  Maybe you’re not man enough in any reality to produce a Y chromosome.”
“That’s funny, mom,” Bell spoke up.  “You’re always telling me that dad was such a man that he ruined you for all other men.”
*Dawn blushes with embarrassment from head to toe.*
“My mother would never make such insinuations,” Arilyn declared.  Katia smiled.  “Though I will admit that things do often get noisy in their bedroom.”
*Katia blushes from head to toe.*
“You think you know noisy?” Terra asked.  “Every time mom comes home after busting a major criminal, she chooses a different pair of handcuffs from her collection to take to the bedroom.  She’s so excited that you can’t sleep considering the noises coming from that room.”
*Sarah’s cybernetic ears short out from embarrassment.*
“That’s nothing,” Sabrina stated.  “We have unpaid whipped cream bills.”
*Mina gets wide eyed in shock and freezes in place.*
“Six words,” Circe said.  “One hundred gallons of chocolate syrup.”
*Fawn’s face screws up in a weird position.*
Seven addressed Yuta.  “You two wrote the sequel to ‘The Dummies Guide to Sex’, ‘The Advanced Guide to Sex.’
Yuta smiled happily.  “That sounds like so much fun.”
Katia glanced at Jake.  “Jake, please make them stop.”  She did a double take and looked at Jake again.  “Jake?”
*Jake’s head looks like he’s in la la land, and he’s covered in a pile of his own drool as he goes over what the girls indicate about his sex life with their moms.*
“He looks even more dazed then you do when you’re spirally eyed for days at a time, mother,” Arilyn said.
“WHAT!?”  Katia punched Jake, hard, knocking him to the floor.  But Jake is still drooling.
After taking another few moments to absorb what was going on, Fawn spoke up.  “Okay.  So we know who they are, where they come from, and why they’re here.  The question is, what do we do with them?”
“If you don’t mind,” Mato said, “I’d really love the chance to run some experiments-“
Suddenly, Dawn, Sarah, Katia, Fawn, Mina and Yuta grabbed Belladonna, Terra, Arilyn, Circe, Sabrina, and Seven, respectively, and hugged them close to themselves protectively.  “You are not going to lay a hand on my daughter!” they all screamed.
“But, but,” Mato stammered.  “Two of them are hybrids, and one is the daughter of Jake and Yuta.  I can’t possibly let such an opportunity pass-“
“You heard them, old man!” Jake shouted in Mato’s face.  “Leave my kids alone!”  I just said ‘my kids’.
“Science has been denied an incredible opportunity,” Mato moaned.  “Anyway, what to do with them?  That depends.  It’ll take me time to find their home quantum realms so I can send them back.  But if I work on that, Lucia and the other three will have to stay frozen for a while.  I don’t know what to do.”
“You made the problems!” Jake exclaimed.  “You fix them!  Both of them!”
“Are you calling us problems, father?” Arilyn tearfully asked.
Jake turned to face her, sweating.  “Uh, of course not, uh, uh...”
“Arilyn.”
“Arilyn.  I just mean that gramp's here should be able to repair any situations he causes.”
Terra removed herself from Sarah’s motherly embrace and started typing into her wrist computer.  “It might not be as hard as you think, professor.”
“What do you mean?” Mato asked Terra.
“If I remember my thesis I wrote before graduating from college-“
“You’ve graduated from college?” the amazed Sarah asked.  Terra shrugged.  Sarah beamed proudly at her daughter.
“Anyway, I theorized that all matter from any universe or quantum realm or dimension resonates on a quantum level with a unique signature, which sets it apart from matter in all other such planes.  If you analyzed our signatures and constructed a machine to scan for the realms containing identical signatures, you should be able to locate them given enough time.”
As everyone else stared dumbly at Terra, Mato clapped his hands in joy.  “Of course!  Brilliant!  I see you take after your great-grandfather.”
“In case you’ve forgotten,” Jake whispered angrily into Mato’s ear, “you and I are not related.”
“She still takes after me,” Mato replied smugly.  “Now, there is one problem with your solution, Terra.  In order to provide enough power to such a device, I would need a hydrogen fuel cell, and I’m fresh out.”
Terra reached into her back pack, pulled out a small metal cylinder, and tossed it to Mato.  “Here, you can use mine.”
Sarah was laughing.  “My daughter, the wonder girl!”
“Eh, she’s not so great,” Bell sneered.
“You tell her, honey,” Dawn said.
As Terra and Bell started arguing, Jake shook his head.  “Amazing.  Even their daughters hate each other.”
“You also have to take into account sibling rivalry,” Fawn told him.  “Remember, they are half-sisters.”
“So, in the meantime, I guess that means they’ll have to stay here,” Mina said.  “I can’t take Sabrina home.  My mom would flip if she learned she was a grandmother.”
“Don’t make me go evil on your ass!” Bell yelled at Terra.
“Ha!  Go ahead and try!”  Terra pulled down her goggles to cover her eyes and pressed a button on her wrist computer.  “Just wait till my goggles warm up!”
As she looked up, she saw Bell holding up a color changing orb like Dawn’s.  It started shifting from color to color rapidly.  Though no one could see her eyes, Terra was obviously entranced, as could be seen by her relaxed body.
As everyone else looked on in shock, Dawn and Bell were smiling.  “Good job, Bell,” Dawn said.
“Thanks, mo-“  Suddenly, two beams of rainbow colored energy shot out from Terra’s goggles and struck Bell right in the eyes.  Bell gasped, then relaxed, becoming entranced as well.  The two girls just stood there, having hypnotized each other.
Sarah and Dawn tried to wake their daughters from their trances.  Dumbfounded, Jake started stuttering, “Did they just, don’t tell me, is it, how...”  He looked at Sabrina, Arilyn, Seven and Circe.  “How many of you have hypnosis powers of one form or another?”
They all raised their hands.
“Oh, this is perfect,” Jake moaned.
“I know!” Mato yelled, not catching Jake’s sarcasm.  “A new generation of hypno girls!  Imagine the research I could do!”
***********
A short time later, the mothers, daughters, and father had gathered in the living room.  Jake had just ordered more pizza.
“Well, if you don’t mind,” Mina said, standing up, “I really should be going home now.  My mom will be wondering where I am.”  She started to leave.
“Don’t go, mom.  Please,” Sabrina pleaded.  Mina stopped and faced her.  “This is so weird for me.  It’d make me feel a lot safer if you were here with me.  Please.”
Mina couldn’t refuse this heartfelt plea.  She called her mom and said she’d be staying over for the night.
“Just to clarify one more time,” Jake said to his daughters, “you all inherited hypno powers?”
Everyone but Terra nodded.  “I didn’t,” she said.  “But I developed my own methods using technology.”
“Your technology is pathetic,” Bell told her.
Terra pressed on her belt buckle.  A ray gun of some sort rose out of her back pack and aimed itself at Bell.  *It fires a red laser and fries Bell to a blackened crisp.*  “What were you saying?”
“Nothing,” Bell whimpered.
“Those two are so uncivilized,” Arilyn told Katia.
“I know,” Katia agreed.
“Whenever you and father get like that, he just pulls out a pendant and makes you go spirally eyed for a few days.  He says it makes you easier to deal with.”
“JAKE!!” Katia screamed, turning towards him.  But Jake had beaten her to the punch, and was already holding up a pendant in her line of vision.  A few moments later, Katia was spirally eyed.
“You want to calm down, Katia,” Jake ordered her.
“Yes, master,” she agreed.
“Good.”  He snapped his fingers and Katia awoke from her trance.
“So, what are your powers?” Dawn asked Arilyn.
“Well, I can use any suitable object as an induction tool to hypnotize people,” she answered.  “Here, let me show you.”  She reached into her pocket and pulled out a golden coin attached to a string.  “This is a family heirloom.”  She then quickly dangled the coin in front of Terra’s eyes and started twisting the string, giving it the effect of spinning.  Terra was captivated.  “Watch the pretty coin of gold, and you will do as you are told,” Arilyn intoned.  Terra smiled widely.
I must have told her about my favorite episode of Scooby Doo, Jake thought.
Sarah was upset.  “Hey, leave my girl alo-“  Arilyn held up the coin so now Sarah was looking at it.
“Do not fret, that was just a test.  Now please calm down and get some rest.”
Sarah fell asleep on the couch.
Dawn, Katia, and Bell clapped.  Everyone else just watched.
“Would you mind if I...?” Bell inquired of Arilyn, pointing at the still hypnotized Terra.
“Go right ahead.”
Bell grinned wickedly.  “Thanks.”  Bell whispered in Terra’s ear.  A moment later, Terra brought out her laser gun again.  This time, she zapped herself, snapping her out of her trance.  Bell and Dawn laughed.  Fawn, meanwhile, had just awoken Sarah.
“What can you do?” Mina asked Sabrina.
Before Sabrina could respond, Jake said, “I think that’s enough hypnotic mayhem for one night.  Why don’t we talk about something else?”
The group spent the rest of the evening telling each other about their lives.  The quantum realms the girls came from weren’t really that different from the one they were currently in.  They seemed to be identical up to the point when Jake decided who to marry.
They then all retired for the night, each girl sharing a room with their respective mother.

Fawn was in a sleeping bag, while Circe was lying in her bed.  Fawn was still trying to adjust to the incredible events of the day.
“Mom?”
Though Fawn was a bit uncomfortable being called that, she decided to let Circe anyway, if it made her feel more comfortable.
“Yes, Circe?”
“I can’t sleep.”
“I’m sorry.”
“Could you help me?”
“What do you mean?”
“When I was younger, you would always sing me to sleep with a lullaby.  I loved it when you did.  You still do it sometimes even today.  I’d really appreciate it.”
Fawn smiled.  She called upon her hypnotic singing.  “Go to sleep,” she sang.  “Go to sleep.  Go to sleep, my sweet darling.”  She kept singing for a few moments.  When she had finished, she heard Circe snoring peacefully.  Fawn, feeling a little more comfortable with the situation, soon fell asleep herself.

Dawn and Bell were having a chat in Dawn’s room.
“So, tell me, how did your father and I get together?”
“Well, soon after he graduated, he was going to go off and look around the world, trying to find his true calling.  But before he left, you approached him and told him you loved him with all your heart.  You begged him to let you share in his life, and even promised to refrain from draining people and tormenting Sarah if he would be with you.  A year later, the two of you were wed.  A few years after that, you gave birth to me.”
Dawn was both touched and upset by the story.  “You mean I actually promised to stop draining people and quit tormenting Sarah?”
Bell nodded, then gave her mom a big smile.  “But you still do it anyways behind his back.”
Both succubi giggled.

In Katia’s room, Katia and Arilyn were taking turns brushing each others hair.
“Do Jake and I rule the Elven nation?”
“No.  Grandpa still rules.  But the people love you and father.  You’re so kind and benevolent.  And the love you two share inspires joy and hope in all.”
Katia smiled.  “How did I finally convince him to marry me?”
“Actually, he convinced you to marry him.”
Katia was surprised.  “Okay, I need to hear this story.”
“Well, at some point, you told him that you couldn’t wait forever for him to accept that you two were meant to be together.  You told him you were calling off the engagement and stepping out of his life for good and going to find another suitor.  He realized that he couldn’t live a happy life without you in it, so he begged you on the spot to marry him.  The photos and videos I saw of your wedding are amazing.  And when you were pregnant with me, the whole kingdom said you were a radiant beauty.”
Katia smiled and a tear trickled down her eye.  “That’s beautiful.  Are we good parents?”
“You two are wonderful parents.  You love me, you care for me, you help me when I’m sad.  And you’re firm enough to insist that I do something with my life instead of just relying on the resources of the royal family to live.  So, I got into financing.”
“Financing?”
Arilyn nodded.  “I’m so good that they even let me do the royal accounts.  Since I started giving advice to the financial department, profits have been on the rise.”  Arilyn turned her head and looked Katia in the eyes.  “I love you, mom.”
Katia hugged her daughter from behind, deriving great happiness from being with her.

The next morning, the girls woke up to find that had not been dreaming; they all indeed had their daughter’s sleeping in their room.
They were eating in the living room, as the kitchen table had been incinerated.  Mato entered from the lab.
“How’s everyone doing?”
“Surprisingly well,” Katia answered.
“Good.  I have news.  I have created a device that will eventually find the home quantum realms of you six girls.  But it’ll take a while before it locates them.  While it is, I can get back to working on helping Lucia and the others.”
“That is good news, old man,” Jake said.  “Well, if you excuse us, some of us have school to attend.”
“Can I come with you, dad?” Sabrina asked.  “Please?  I’d really like to see what you were like in school.”
Arilyn and Seven voiced similar desires.
“Well...”
“Oh Jake, just let them,” Katia insisted.
“Yes.  It’ll be so much fun!” Yuta declared.
“I think it’d be okay,” Mina agreed.
“Well... alright.  What’s the worst that could happen?  I did not just say that.”
The girls found some spare school uniforms for their daughters to wear, and they made their way to Yoto High.  Terra stayed behind to help Mato work in the lab, and Bell and Circe were spending the day with their mothers.
**********
The boys at school all stared at Jake in shock as he arrived with yet three more beautiful girls.
I wish they’d get whatever they’re thinking out of their heads, Jake thought.  It’s creeping me out, considering that they’re technically my kids.
When the seven of them were alone, Mina spoke to Jake.  “By the way, I think we need to hypnotize the teacher so Diana can be excused from school while she’s... indisposed of.”
“Oh, let me take care of that, please,” Seven requested.
“That might not be a good idea,” Jake said.
*Seven stares at him with puppy dog eyes.*  Being unable to resist that look when the girls want him to go shopping, Jake couldn’t refuse Seven.  “Alright, alright.”
“YAY!”
Not long after that, the seven of them were gathered in home room class.  “Class,” the teacher said.  “We have three special guests from Professor Mato’s house.  I’d like to introduce you to Sabrina, Arilyn, and Seven.”
“Are they your new girlfriends, Jake?” one of his classmates teased.
“ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!” Jake screamed, a bit too loudly, as everyone was giving him weird looks.
“Anyway,” the teacher continued, “why don’t you girls introduce yourselves?  Why don’t we start with you, Seven?”  The teacher stepped towards the back of the class to give the girls room.
“Hello, everyone!” Seven said in a cheerful attitude.  “My name is Seven.  I’m Yuta’s dau-“
She cut off as she saw Jake making “Shhh!” gestures.
“Um, anyway, what would you like to know?” she asked.
One of the students raised a hand.  “What do you do for fun?” he asked.  Wrong question.
Seven beamed.  “I do this!”  Her blue eyes started morphing into spirals, just like her mother.
Katia and Mina covered their eyes in time, and Jake tackled Yuta to the ground, but the rest of the class was not so lucky.  Soon, they all had spinning spirals to match Seven.  Seven’s eyes returned to normal.
“Okay, everyone!  Let’s play a game.”
“We obey you, Mistress Seven,” the hypnotized class replied.
“Good.  Now, strip down and start pairing up with one another and-“
“That’s enough, young lady!” Jake shouted.
Seven pouted.  “But I wanted to play ‘The Roman Orgy Game’ like you and mom!”
As Jake is shocked speechless by this statement, Yuta giggled.  “That sounds like fun.  Jake, show me how to play.”
“Maybe later,” Jake replied.  *Katia glares evily at him.*  “Er, I mean, um, never mind.  Anyway, Seven, I want you to instruct the teacher about Diana and then put everyone back to normal.”
Annoyed, Seven did as Jake said.  The class snapped out of their trances with no recollection of being hypnotized.
*********
Back at the lab, Mato and Terra were hard at work trying to free the four girls from the stasis fields they were trapped in.  Terra was constantly impressing Mato with her technical and mental prowess.
“So, you see,” she was telling him, “the simplest way to carry a mass array of tools and gadgets inside a back pack is to have a shrink ray and a growth ray built in that will automatically adjust their sizes depending on your needs.”
“Of course!  Brilliant!  But then, how do you solve the problem of weight?  Even when reduced to a smaller size, objects still retain the same mass and weight.”
“Just attach a repulsor generator to the bottom of the pack to reduce the weight you need to carry.”
Mato shook his head in amazement.  “You are truly a fellow genius.  If you keep it up, someday you may even rival me.”
Terra smiled teasingly.  “I thought I already did.”
“I’ll have to have Sarah teach you some modesty,” Mato warned her.  He turned his attention to the machine that had brought the girls to this realm.  After a few minutes, he spotted a problem.  “Uh oh.”
“What is it?” Terra asked, walking over and joining him.
“When the machine brought you and the other five here, a power surge occurred which wiped out most of the programming.  Until it’s reprogrammed, I can’t send you back, even when we find your homes.”
Undeterred, Terra started typing furiously away at the console.  “Let me try something.”
Mato smiled, amused at what he saw to be a futile effort.  “I’m sorry, dear, but it’s not that simple.  That machine had some of the most advanced programming ever produced.  It took me years to develop it.  Even if we brought in a team of experts and used my backup discs, it’ll take months to-“
“Finished.”
“Huh?”
Terra moved away from the console.  “I finished.  It’s reprogrammed.”
“WHAT!?”  Mato rushed to the console and looked over her work.  The programming was indeed complete.  “How did you do that?!”
Terra laughed.  “Never question science!”
“This is incredible!  This programming is so advanced!  It’s even better than-“  He stopped talking, but it was too late.
“Yours?” Terra finished for him, wearing a teasing smile.  “I agree.”  She moved off to another portion of the lab.
Humiliated, Mato muttered, “No respect, no respect.”
************
Right now, Katia was apart from the others, walking through the hallways.  She was going over what Arilyn had told her about how she and Jake had ended up together.
So, he proposed to me when he found out I was no longer willing to wait for him.  I wonder if...?
She saw a familiar student at his locker.  His name was Boris, and he was one of the bear students she had been rude to when she had first come to this school.  Katia smiled as an idea came to her.
She walked up to Boris.  “Hello, Boris.”
Boris looked at her and got a little nervous.  “Um, hi, Princess Katia.”
“Please, call me Katia.”
Boris got a little confused.  “Um, okay.  How are you doing, Katia?”
She smiled.  “I’m fine, thank you.  I want to apologize for how I acted towards you before.  It was rude and selfish of me.”
Boris got a little embarrassed and smiled.  “Thank you.”
“I was wondering if you’d let me make it up to you.”
“That’s not really necessary.”
“I really must insist.”
“Well, if that’s what you want.  What were you thinking of?”
*********
Dawn and Bell were flying high over Yoto on this bright blue day, bonding.
“It’s looks so different from up here than what I remember,” Bell stated.
“What do you mean?” Dawn asked.
“Well, when I was six, Mato used his authority to evacuate the city and then used a tractor beam to cause a giant meteor to impact on Yoto.  He then rebuilt the city in the crater.”
Dawn was amazed.  “Why would he do that?”
“When the city council asked him that, he replied, ‘Because I wanted to study the effects of a giant meteor impacting on a city and find out what would happen.’”
“That sounds like him.”
“So, mom, what would you like to do now?”
Dawn grinned wickedly.  “Let’s find someone and drain ‘em.”
Bell grinned back.  “I like that idea.  Can I pick who?”
“What kind of mother would I be to refuse my daughter such a simple request?”
They descended so they were flying just above the buildings, scanning for potential victims.
“How about that pretty one?” Dawn asked, pointing downwards.  Bell shook her head no.  “How about her?”  Another negative.  “Oh!  Oh!  There’s Sarah stopping a mugging!  Let’s get her!”
Bell observed the mugging.  It seemed that Sarah was pointing a taser gun at a man holding a knife and a female hostage.  Bell smiled.  “Perfect.”  The two succubi slowly descended behind the mugger.
Sarah observed them and silently swore, then returned her attention to the mugger.  “Sir, drop the knife and let her go.”
“No way!  I’m not gonna-“
Suddenly, Bell grabbed the man’s knife hand and pulled him away from the woman.  The woman ran past Sarah, screaming.  Bell squeezed the shocked mugger’s arm so he dropped the knife.  He futilely struggled against her.
Sarah tried to get a fix on the mugger.  “Push him away and I’ll stun him!”
Bell smiled.  “No need.”
The man’s struggles lessened as Bell started to drain him.  After a few moments, he stopped resisting and looked at Bell with loving eyes.  He tried to kiss her, but she stopped him.
“You just did a bad thing,” she told him.  “You need to make things right and surrender yourself to that officer.”
The man smiled happily, nodded, and walked over to Sarah, holding his arms out to be cuffed.  Amazed, Sarah handcuffed him to an emergency ladder and walked over to Bell and the stupefied Dawn.
“What did you do?” Sarah asked.
“That’s what I’d like to know!” Dawn exclaimed, upset at her daughter’s good deed.
“Well,” Bell said, “I don’t drain energy like normal succubi.  I drain away people’s so called ‘negative’ emotions, like hate, fear, distrust, selfishness.  When I drain them, it leaves them very happy, suggestible, and occasionally a bit enamored with those around them.  I use those skills to help people around Yoto, whether it be fixing someone’s bad mood, or stopping a crime, like just now.”
*Dawn’s world shatters into a million pieces.*
Sarah laughed at Dawn’s humiliation, then seriously addressed Bell.  “Well, while I do appreciate your help, I’m afraid you can’t do things like that here.  We have laws against vigilanteism.  You can’t just go around pretending to be some kind of superhero.”
“But I have a license.”  Bell pulled out her wallet and displayed an ID which clearly afforded her the rights to acts of superheroism.  “In my world, the people loved Captain Anime so much that the city decided to award superhero licenses to make such things legal.”
“This can’t be real,” Dawn weakly said.  “My daughter, helping people?”
“How do I know this license is authentic?” Sarah asked.
“You were the one who signed it,” Bell answered.
“NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!” Dawn screamed.
**************
Arilyn and Katia had separated from the others and were walking through the school halls.  Katia had asked her posse of elves to leave her alone for the next few days.  As they were walking and talking, Arilyn kept assisting students.  She helped people pick up their dropped books, brought to their attention when they dropped items, etc.
“Is it really necessary for you to keep disrupting our conversation?” Katia asked Arilyn.
Arilyn shrugged.  “I’m sorry, but it’s just in my nature to help people.”
“Whatever.  Anyhow, you said that Jake asked me to marry him when I told him I was going to find someone else to be with?”
“That’s right.”
“Very inter-“
“Ah, damn it.”
They both paused and looked to their right.  A male student in a wheelchair was situated right outside of an elevator.  Unfortunately, the elevator was out of order.
“What am I going to do?” the student moaned.  “If I don’t get to class in time for my test, I’m screwed.”
Katia had no interest in this student’s plight.  She turned to Arilyn.  “Come on.  Let’s-“
But Arilyn wasn’t giving her any attention.  She just walked right up to the wheelchair student.
“Excuse me, sir?”
The student turned to her.  “Yes?”
“I couldn’t help noticing your situation.  May I offer my assistance?  My friend and I could carry you upstairs if you’d like?”
The student’s features brightened.  “You’d really do that for me?”
“I would be happy to help you.”  Arilyn turned to her mother.  “Could you lend me a hand?”
Katia was caught off balance.  She then noticed that the eyes of the entire hallway were on her.  Left with little other choice, she and Arilyn carried the student to the upper level of the school.
“Thank you so much, ma’am,” the student said as he headed towards his class.
